In October 2023, Abel Selacoe was awarded the OPUS Klassik Award in the category "Classic without Borders" and impressed with his performance at the OPUS Klassik Gala at Konzerthaus Berlin with his work "Ka Bohaleng / On the Sharp Side", which he played together with percussionist Bernhard Schimpelsberger and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin under the direction of Joana Mallwitz.

Less than a month later, he went on tour with his Bantu Ensemble and their programme "Ancestral Affirmations", with which he returned to the Konzerthaus Berlin at the end of November. They played further concerts at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, Konzerthaus Dortmund, Wiener Konzerthaus, Prinzregententheater Munich and Theater Gütersloh, each time receiving standing ovations from the audience.
