Yet another memorised success
The Aurora Orchestra concerts at the BBC Proms have become indespensable.
The London audience knows to expect an fascinating performance, these concerts being the ones sold out the fastest. This year Aurora Orchestra immersed themselves in the world of Shostakovich, the socialst regime and memories of war with a staged performance of his 5th symphony. Extending the collaboration with theatre production company Frantic Assembly, who they initially worked with for the CARNIVAL project, they even let musicians on stage fly.
As it’s become tradtion the past summers, the concert at the Royal Albert Hall was followed by a small tour to Edinburgh, who also saw a reunion with Abel Selaocoe for his “Four Spirits” album release, as well as Beethovenfest Bonn and Musikfest Bremen, each and every one of the performances being celebrated by the audiences with standing ovations. You can watch the recording of the festival opening concert in Bonn here.
